Congress and the Presidency are openly hostile to Tik-Tok. USA controls what is being used within its borders and can make demands...reasonable or otherwise. So, I think Tik-Tok will be banned in coming months.
USA and China have multiple frictions and banning of Tik Tok is no different for other trade frictions e.g. Banning of Huawei, sale of chips technology / machines, etc.
